BetterAsk catches vague prompts before you hit send on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini — and rewrites them into clear instructions that get better answers with fewer follow-ups.
Spots vague requests like "fix this" or "write SQL" and adds the missing goal, format, and constraints — one click to replace your text.
Save rules like "always lowercase SQL" or "concise, no fluff." BetterAsk applies them and suggests new ones from your editing patterns.
After an answer arrives, get a quality score, hallucination-risk flag, format check, and a ready-to-paste follow-up prompt.
A local dashboard tracks prompts improved, acceptance rate, and estimated tokens and time saved — all on your machine.
Grab betterask-extension.zip above and unzip it. You'll get a betterask folder.
Go to chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped betterask folder.
Visit ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini, type a rough prompt, and click the ✨ fix ask pill.
Heads up: AI sites change their layouts often, so prompt detection can occasionally need an update.
Token and time savings are estimates, not guarantees. This is an early build — feedback welcome.
